One of our new application Solaris 10 servers, baker.ssds.ucdavis.edu, is a SunFire x4600 server with 8 dual-core Opteron 2.6 GHz CPUs, 32 GB of memory and a StorEdge 3320 with 1.4 TB of disk storage. With Stata, Mathematica, R, and other compilers available on baker, it is the most heavily used server.

archer.ssds.ucdavis.edu

Our other new application Solaris 10 server, archer.ssds.ucdavis.edu, is a SunFire v215 server with 2 dual-core UltraSparc IIIi 1.5 GHz CPUs and 2 GB of memory. The data on the StorEdge 3320 is also available from this server, which has SAS, Gauss, and MatLab installed.

squire.ssds.ucdavis.edu

Squire has the same hardware as archer and is our utility server. It serves as our NIS domain server. We run our backup software, Legato Networker, from this Solaris 10 server, which has a Sun StorEdge L8 LTO2 jukebox.
