SPSS Licensing
Licensed SPSS Modules
The Social Science Data Service coordinates licensing for the SPSS statistical software line for the UC Davis campus for the Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
Each license is purchased for a specific computer. It is a violation of the license to install a single, licensed copy of SPSS on multiple computers so that more than one person can use it.
SPSS is not available to graduate students under the campus site license on either personally owned computers or University laptops. Graduate students may purchase the SPSS Grad Pack from the Memorial Union Bookstore Computer Shop. The Grad Pack is also available from several online vendors: http://www.spss.com/gradpack/.

The UCD SPSS site license includes the following modules:
- Base System
- Regression Models
- Advanced Models
- Tables
- Trends
- Categories
AMOS, a structural equation modeling add-on package, is available for SPSS for Windows (not available for the Macintosh).
The license expires on December 1 each year. You must renew the license annually and obtain the renewal code or the software will stop functioning. The annual fee is $143.00. A renewal notice will be sent to all registered license holders prior to the software expiration date.
Documentation must be purchased separately and is available from the UC Davis Bookstore.
Ordering SPSS Licenses
If you are ordering licenses for SPSS and will be paying with a DaFIS account, please fill out the online order form.
If you cannot pay for the licenses with a DaFIS account, or if you have any questions about the SPSS site license, please call the site-license coordinator at (530) 752-4009.
SPSS Patches and Updates
SPSS releases patches and updates periodically, which are available from SPSS Technical Support.
Installation Media
You can check out the installation media from the Social Science Data Service office for up to three days. Please contact the SSDS office at 752-4009 to make arrangements to pick up and return the media. NOTE: A $25.00 fee may be charged for media kept longer than three days.
